Adding a glimmer of gold to the Legion players’ diverse background this season is former Australian Wallaby Paddy Ryan. A product of Tamworth Australia, Ryan made his Test debut with Australia back in 2012 and boasts a rugby career that stretches back to his selection to the Australians Schoolboys squad in 2006 and standout performances with St. Joseph’s College where he shared the pitch with fellow Wallaby Kurtley Beale. The 30-year old received further rugby experience with an introduction to the New South Wales Waratahs in 2011, which he helped propel to multiple Super Rugby victories and with whom he saw action with against the touring British and Irish Lions in 2013. This Australian rugby product helps prop the Legion in 2019 and exhibits strong tackling on defense and powerful ball carrying.
