Fresno State football standout Aaron Mitchell has returned to his San Diego county roots to lend his talents in a second season of Legion rugby. Mitchell, a native of Oceanside, California is a product of San Diego Mustangs youth rugby where his role at prop helped propel him to be a three-year regional team qualifier and eventually a 16 and under All-American. In American football, Mitchell excelled as offensive lineman for Cathedral Catholic high school and his senior year contributed to their 11-2 record and a San Diego Section Division 1 championship. His football career later saw him graduate to join the Fresno State Bulldogs where he helped lead the rushing attack and saw him named to All-Mountain West second team. In 2018, he turned professional rugby player with the San Diego Legion and helped achor the front row amongst his fellow forwards.
